BENEFITS:

Mechanic:

the Sphinx pose allow a moderate compression of the lower spine, and a too mild to mention compression on the Rectus Abdominis.

Energetic:

targets mainly the Urinary Bladder channel.

Mind/emotions:

energizing and restoring.

CONTRADICTIONS:

Be mindful of your lower back if there is a back problem or injury.

HELP & PROPS:

Resting the elbows on the top of a bolster will give you more stimulation while allowing to rest.

TIME RECOMMENDED:

Three to five minutes.

RELEASING THE POSE:

Slowly slide your elbows to the side and rest in prone position.

ADDITIONAL TIPS:

Use this position as a preparation for the Seal pose.
