Ankle pose

BENEFITS:

Mechanic:

ankle compression at the back – tension at the front.

Energetic:

mainly help with Stomach and Spleen Channels.

Mind/emotions:

enhance focus, balance and control.

CONTRADICTIONS:

If there is an ankle injury, or if the compression is too great, proceed with caution. Do not perform in case of inflammation.

HELP & PROPSPOMOCE:

The difficult part is to find your balance in this pose, you can get great help by keeping your hands on the floors at first or using blocks if your hands do not reach the floor. Then slowly release your hands once balance is reached.

TIME RECOMMENDED:

One minute at the beginning as it is quite demanding.

RELEASING THE POSE:

Gently release the knees back on the floor, relax in child pose if needed.
